Your information, explained

Privacy notice

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This notice explains how Miera uses personal information when you visit this website or contact us. It covers this website and initial enquiries. We will provide further information if a project involves processing additional personal data.

Who is responsible for your information?

Miera is the customer-facing brand of Miera Technology. The data controller is Kaveri Khaneja, trading as Miera Technology, based in Milton Keynes, UK.

For questions about this notice or your information, email info@mieratechnology.co.uk.

What we collect

If you use our enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, message and selected area of interest. You may also provide a business name and phone number. We keep any related correspondence you send us. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in your enquiry.

Our hosting provider, Netlify, may process technical information such as IP addresses, request details and browser information to deliver the website, handle form submissions and help prevent abuse.

How and why we use it

We use enquiry details to respond, understand your requirements, discuss potential work and keep a record of the conversation.

  • Where you ask us to take steps towards entering a contract with you, we rely on the UK GDPR lawful basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • For general business enquiries, including enquiries on behalf of a company, we rely on our legitimate interests in communicating with prospective clients and running our business. We consider your rights and reasonable expectations when doing so.
  • We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and protecting this website for essential technical and security processing. We may also retain information where needed to meet a legal obligation.

We do not add you to a marketing list when you send an enquiry, sell your information or use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Who receives your information?

Netlify provides website hosting and form processing. Enquiries may also pass through our business email provider when notifications or replies are sent. These providers process information as needed to deliver their services. We may share information with professional advisers or authorities where necessary or legally required.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, applicable safeguards may include UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards. Netlify describes its processing locations and transfer arrangements in its privacy statement and data processing agreement. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.

How long we keep it

For enquiries that do not become projects, our intended retention period is 12 months after our last meaningful contact. We may keep information longer where needed to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation. If you become a client, project and accounting records will have separate retention periods which we will explain where relevant.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not load analytics, advertising trackers or marketing cookies by default. It uses locally hosted fonts. Our hosting provider may process essential technical data to serve the site and prevent spam. If we introduce optional tracking in future, we will update this notice and request consent where required.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive certain information in a portable format. These rights are subject to conditions and legal exceptions.

To make a request, email info@mieratechnology.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity before responding. You do not have to provide information through our form, but we need contact details to reply to an enquiry.

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would welcome the chance to address your concerns first.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as our business or services change. The date above shows when it was last revised.
